Creativity is a fundamental part of human beings. Often this manifests itself at an early age Maya Nair, now aged 13, whose show begins at Corner House showed talent in early childhood. This is her first show.

For years her work was mainly figurative , then suddenly on the edge of adolescence her work became abstract . The internal mental upheaval faced by teenagers , confronted with all kinds of new ideas , the need to find a personal identity in a fast changing world, all these subjects are reflected in her work. The drawings in ink on paper, printed on canvas for the show, flow from her hand in rich profusion reflecting her thoughts about the world around her.
