Tragedy of an Indian Farmer
A farmer plants a banana tree with lots of hope. The tree grows, so does his hope. It is the time for harvest, but all his dreams are shattered when the landlord claims the bunch of bananas. Set in feudal Kerala, this short film is based on a famous poem 'Vazhakkula' in Malayalam. 'Tradegy of an Indian Farmer' was the winner of a National Award in India in 1993.
