In a suburb of a city in India, a tribal lady tries to cross the busy road in order to save her cattle from the traffic. Run over by a truck, her image is being converted into a dancing doll and marketed by the new breed of people. An unusual story of exploitation in a country that is developing very fast.
This film was produced as a part of a series of films made to mark the 50th anniversary of Human Rights declaration by film makers from all over the world. |

A farmer plants a banana tree with lots of hope for himself and his family. The tree grows, so does his hope. It is the time for harvest, but all his dreams are shattered when the landlord claims the bunch of bananas. Set in feudal Kerala, this short film is based on a famous poem 'Vazhakkula' in Malayalam. 'Tradegy of an Indian Farmer' was the winner of a National Award in India in 1993. |
