All India Complaints Choir
Every Individual or group will have their own woes and worries. As society is multilayered in India, so too are the complaints.
All India Complaints Choir is a project aimed at exploring the possibilities of combining the rich singing tradition of India with complaining. Inspiration came from the Complaints Choirs that have been formed in various cities of the world.
The first of this project was Hyderabad Complaints Choir, a short film of 10 minute duration, produced by Isabelle Collins and Venkat Ram of DENISCO. The film used a combination of South Indian Classical Music, Quawwalis and Choir Music as the structure to sing about the woes of the city of Hyderabad in South India.
If you feel like you can get together a group of like minded people who have something to complain about ( and of course, if you could find production resources) we can help you to put the project together.
